How it works on Uber Eats

From the machine's stock to a Uber Eats order, automatically.

Uber Eats extends PickVend's coverage to Poland, Sweden, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and Germany. The machine is provisioned as an Uber Eats store; PickVend uploads the menu through the Uber Eats Marketplace API, keeps item availability in step with the machine and acts as the store's order manager so that orders are accepted and rejected automatically.

Uber Eats cancels orders that are not accepted within 11.5 minutes and has no separate "ready" signal — the courier is dispatched on Uber's predicted preparation time. PickVend accepts within seconds and sets the preparation time to the minimum, because the products are already in the machine.

The courier sees a 5-character order code and the customer's first name in the Uber Driver app. That code is the unlock code on the machine. Published Uber Eats commission for platform-delivered orders is 30 % in Poland and Sweden, with an activation fee of 1 000 PLN / 3 500 SEK; pickup and self-delivery plans are lower.
